Mesotherapy is a non-surgical procedure in which multiple micro-injections are delivered into the mesodermal layer of tissue under the skin to restore plumpness & volume to areas such as the face, eye area, neck & decollatage. Mesotherapy consists of a sophisticated sequence of injections where micro quantities of plant extracts, minerals, vitamins, & homeopathic medicines are injected just under the surface of the skin. How Does Mesotherapy Work?

The procedure involves tiny superficial injections of Hyaluronic Acid directly into the epidermis & mesoderm (middle layer) this helps to nourish & rejuvenate, boost cell activity & stimulate the production of collagen & elastin. This process improves the strength, structure, & appearance of the skin as well as helping it retain moisture.

Does it hurt?

A topical anesthetic is applied prior to the treatment for approximately 20 – 30 minutes, this will assist with any discomfort.

How long does the treatment take?

We advise clients to allow themselves at least 2 hours, this includes consultation, numbing, & treatment time. Depending on the size of the area, the actual treatment time can take 20-45 minutes.

What can I expect after the treatment?

It is recommended that you have some time to recover after your Mesotherapy treatment. You will experience some superficial swelling, which will settle within 24-48 hours. Although rare, other possible side effects include the appearance of some small needle marks which will also resolve within a few days. Treatment around the eye area may take longer to settle, possibly 5-7 days.

How long will the results last?

For optimum results, we recommend a course of 4-6 treatments of Mesotherapy. Once you complete the recommended course, the results can last from 12-18 months, for optimum results we recommend you repeat your treatments every 6 months.

When Booking Your Treatment – Some Important Points To Consider

Must be over 18
You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding
We will be using a topical anesthetic during the treatment to minimize any discomfort. You must give your approval for these creams/lotions which contain may contain lidocaine, tetracaine, benzocaine, or prilocaine to be used before & during your procedure.
Ensure that you understand the procedure & what to expect
Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment.
To minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning medications & supplements for one week prior to your appointment. this includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin & ibuprofen
Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A) retinol, retinoids, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or any “anti-aging” products for two days before & after treatment
If you ever had episodes of Herpes Simplex (cold sores), particularly if treating around the mouth area, it is recommended to undergo a complete antiviral course treatment before undergoing any mesotherapy treatments.
